Some words about the band picture in the Saturday album:
"I
don't remember the year exactly, but it was sometime in the
mid-eighties. I lived in the same neighborhood as Garrett
and so became aware of Zeitgeist because of the drumming and
jamming that came from across the street. I remember sitting
out on my front porch upstairs and listening to practice sessions.
It was a nice time. I seem to remember one time when MTV or
some TV thing showed up in the neighborhood. I think they
were doing a spot on the then "coming of age" of the Austin
music scene. Something that unfortunately seems to have fizzled
out. Later on, I met and lived with a girl named Maureen at
UT, who later worked with John at Bookstop. She was really
the friend who got us the "job." She also painted the sticks
on that album and took many photos also. It was a stroke of
luck as to how my photo
was chosen for the album sleeve... We shot quite a few photos
over a few days." - Anthony K.
