In
one respect, it wasn't the most exciting of years for Reiver-related
news, but 2004 did give us the further development of John Croslin's
new band Fire Marshals of Bethelehem. The band performed around
Austin a fair bit and so did the band Cindy Toth is currently
in, Violet Crown. Kim Longacre and Garrett Williams remained
unfortunately out of action on the music front.
On
March 19 of the year, The Church did an interview and a couple
of live songs of Austin's KUT radio (they were in town to play
the SXSW Music Festival). Steve Kilbey, the lead singer, had
a few nice things to say about Zeitgeist/The Reivers and apparantly
was a fairly big fan back in the 80's. Listen to his comments
