| The
Website:
This website
was founded in April 1998. It's an unofficial website, though
the band members are aware of it and seem appreciative. It
serves mainly as an archive of information about Zeitgeist
and The Reivers and a place for news on the doings of the
band members since the breakup of the Reivers in 1991. There
is an announcement list at Yahoogroups called StarTelegram
that is used to notify of significant updates to the website
and any other significant Reivers-related news. (The little
"Updates" link up on the top right of this page
will also tell of any website updates). There is also a Reivers
discussion list at Yahoogroups called theReivers.
A feature begun on this page in August, 2005 is the Photo/Artifact
Of The Month, where a different Reivers photo or piece of
memorabilia is dredged from the depths of the website or elsewhere
and highlighted each month.
News:
Reivers-
The Reivers now have an official MySpace
page.
Reunion
Shows
On Saturday, February 9 and Sunday, February
10, 2008 The Reivers reunited over 16 years after their final
performance in October, 1991 for 2 shows at The Parish in
Austin, TX. Both shows sold out (the Saturday one in less
than 24 hours). Opening both shows was Austin's The
Rite Flyers.
Go to the Reunion
Shows section of the website for more information.
-------------------------
As you can imagine with a band that broke up over 16 years
ago, there hasn't been a lot of news about The Reivers as
a band. Previously, they had only fully reunited at John Croslin's
2002 wedding (see News
Archive 2002). In 2001 Kim, Cindy, and Garrett played
together as part of the ad-hoc band 86ed at Austin's SXSW
music conference (see News
Archive Pre-2002). In addition, the albums Saturday and
End of the Day were remastered and rereleased in 2002 with
bonus tracks and new liner notes (News
2002-2003).

to check out YouTube,
as Reivers/Zeitgeist video is there.
John Croslin-
Since the Reivers breakup, Croslin has produced and engineered
albums by many many bands (John
Croslin discography). In early 2005 the first album by
his new band, The Fire Marshals of Bethlehem, was released.
Called "Songs For Housework", there are definite
echoes of The Reivers' sound, but it's got it's own sound,
too. You may even have heard two of the songs in the TV show
"Veronica Mars", which was created by Rob Thomas
(writer of the "Saturday" reissue liner notes and
long time Reivers fan).
Since the Fire Marshals were created as a "continually-changing
cast of players", he left the group in late 2005. He
could be back again, though, in the future. Visit the Fire
Marshals of Bethlehem website.
Cindy Toth-
Toth has been very active musically, playing in many Austin
bands and guesting on various albums. She also performed in
a few plays in Madison, Wisconsin in 1996 and 1997. See her
discography for more info.
Kim Longacre-
Longacre hasn't been as active as Croslin and Toth in the
music world since the demise of The Reivers, though she has
made some stellar guest appearances on various albums and
contributed some tracks to compilations. See her
discography for the, unfortunately, all too brief listing
of her post-Reivers work.
Garrett Williams-
If you thought Kim Longacre had been a little out of the limelight
since The Reivers, Williams has only played on one released
song since then. It was a song with Kim Longacre, so at least
it was a mini-mini Reivers reunion. See his
discography and hope we can add more to it one day.
